Uncertainty over the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the associated restrictions on public gatherings has made it impossible to publish our usual definitive calendar of events for the coming year.

Confirmed events are:

Wednesday 7th April 2021- online talk by Adam Alexander on “The Seed Detective”

Monday 7th June 2021 - online talk by Pip Bensley on “Chelsea Secrets”

Talks will start at 8:00 pm, and joining instructions will be emailed to members shortly before the events.

Monday 2nd August 2021 - Summer Picnic at Den Farm House, Den Lane, Collier Street

The event runs from 5.00 - 8.00 pm, and members should bring their own picnic and drinks. Some chairs will be available, but you are welcome to bring along rugs or your own chairs if you prefer. There will be a “mini-show” with three classes, which are:

    Class 1 – A Single Rose (not necessarily in a container)
    Class 2 – The Ugliest Vegetable
    Class 3 – A bunch of Mixed Flowers in a jam jar (or similar)

Entries should be in place ready for judging by 5.30 pm.

Monday 4th October 2021 - talk by Martin Newcomb on “Mushrooms and Toadstools”.
This talk takes place at 8:00 pm in the Village Hall.

Saturday 8th September - Autumn Show. Entries to be staged between 9.30 and 11.30 am.
The show opens to the public at 2.30 pm.

Monday 6th December 2021 -Christmas social at 8.00 pm in the Village Hall.

Other information:

No trips or visits have been planned. This position will be kept under review, and we may book one or more events later in the year should circumstances allow.

Annual General Meeting:
Monday 7th March 2022

If we cannot hold physical meetings we will continue to run some events online.
