Our shows are a core part of the Society’s activities.
We normally hold two shows each year, in Spring and Autumn, which are held in Yalding Village Hall. This year's shows are on Saturday 23rd March and Saturday 31st August 2024.
Showing is easy and fun, and gives members a chance to demonstrate their talents across a number of areas - gardening, flower arranging, cookery, produce, photography and crafts. So why not give it a go!
To help you get started, have a look at our guidance document. This explains what you can enter (the schedules), how to enter, the rules of showing, and finally gives you some hints and tips on showing.
Then have a look at the schedule for the show you're interested in. This will show you the classes that you can enter, and the cups that can be awarded. The schedules are published at the start of each year. Here is the Spring schedule, and this is the Autumn schedule.
All these documents are in .pdf format, and you are welcome to download or print copies for your own use.
Once you've chosen what you want to enter, just tell our show secretary, Gail Johnson
(email showentries@yaldinggardensociety.org.uk) by the Thursday evening before the show. Then come along on Saturday morning and set up your entries – simple!
